Paula Lenge has spent her career as an instructor of adult international students from all ends of the world. Through her vast experience teaching English as a Second Language, Paula has developed successful strategies for connecting culturally diverse student populations. She strives to create a comfortable classroom atmosphere where students can feel at liberty to express themselves freely in English.
Paula earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Syracuse University, and her Master’s Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages at Central CT State University. She has developed curriculum for a variety of adult ESL courses including Problem-Based Learning, Explore Connecticut History, and English for Academic Purposes. At UCAELI, Paula is known as the “Vocabulary Queen” due to her love for vocabulary instruction.
When she is not teaching international students, Paula enjoys reading spiritual writings, and doing organic gardening with her husband. She is also an avid advocate for healthy eating
