How to Apply for the Online Academic English Program!
Important Note: Students must be able to speak, read, write, and understand basic words and short sentences in English before acceptance.
Please complete an online application form for UCAELI. The online application requires a $50 application fee payment with a credit card. If you did not complete this step please go to UConn Marketplace to complete your payment.
Application deadline is one month before start of session.
Your application will be marked incomplete if you do not pay the fee.
After receiving your application fee, we will begin processing your application. The following student credentials will be generated within 24-72 hours from when the application fee is received. Student credentials will be sent to the email listed on the UCAELI application when it is available.
- Student ID / Peoplesoft Number (7-digit number)
- Net ID
- UConn Student Email
- Placement Exams Information
Pay the enrollment deposit for the program. This deposit guarantees your place in the upcoming session. Please note the enrollment deposit is non-refundable.
The enrollment deposit is $150.00. Please visit the payment store to make a payment.
Students will receive an official acceptance letter from UCAELI with program start date.
Complete the Placement Exams sent to you by UCAELI. The two exams that need to be completed are:
- The Oxford English Placement Exam
- The HuskyCT Writing Exam
